Nordic Edge launches Identity Manager 4.0 with improved traceability and user-friendliness

Organisations' IT-systems today are being accessed by an increasing number of users, yet they have to manage those users with fewer resources. As a result there's growing
demand for tools that enable user accounts to be administered efficiently and in a way that also guarantees a high level of security.

The Nordic Edge™ Identity Manager is a powerful and secure tool for identity management that gives complete control over the administration. The product dramatically increases internal security and efficiency.

Today Nordic Edge launches the Identity Manager Version 4.0. This new release has been adapted to respond specifically to the needs of the user and to the security requirements of the organisation.

User-friendly solutions that increase efficiency
In version 4.0 of Identity Manager a number of functions have been added or adjusted to allow for easy recognition and usability. Language or data can be changed simply by right-clicking; columns are easily sorted according to preferred criteria; relevant data can be displayed quickly by using filtering, for instance of first or last names. Type ahead makes searches more efficient by presenting existing and matching data while the search item is being entered. Changes can be simultaneously performed on several users, which save the organisation time.

Effortless role management
The new Identity Manager makes it easier for users to manage roles. Users with several roles can simply choose the appropriate one directly upon log-in. The user can then change both role and language without having to leave the current session, which removes the hassle of constantly having to log in and out.

Increased traceability
The Nordic Edge™ Identity Manager 4.0 offers more advanced auditing with enhanced traceability. Each event is logged, which makes it easy to see any changes that have been made to a user identity, when those changes were made and by whom. Shorter client start-up time Nordic Edge has developed a best practice solution, Rapid Deployment, which allows the organisation to get started with delegated administration and self-administration in the shortest time possible. The client can choose to add a number of set roles - Service Desk, IT Auditor, Manager and Self Service - where each role has a number of pre-defined views that can then be adjusted and adapted to the specific requirements of the organization.
